A good fishing report helps other anglers and builds the community. Here is a simple template - fill in what you know, leave out what you would rather not share.

- Date:
- General location: (e.g. "south side of Morro Bay", "Carmel Bay kelp line")
- Time on water:
- Conditions: wind, swell, water temp, clarity
- Tide:
- Tackle / bait / lure:
- What you caught: species, size, count, kept vs released
- What did not work:
- Photos: (optional, use the upload button)
Tips
- Keep it honest - slow days are useful info too.
- Tag your report with Latest Fishing Reports and a region tag (Monterey/San Simeon, Morro/Avila/Pismo, or Santa Barbara/Ventura).
- Do not drop GPS coordinates for sensitive spots. General areas are plenty for the community.
