I'll be heading out to the back side of the Santa Lucia Bank on Wednesday 3/18. Only a one day weather window for the next ten days. Water temp is 60 and there is a chlorophyll transition at 40 miles.

I took a 208 heading from MB and saw very little life. Put in two Madmax at 34 mi and trolled to the donut and beyond over the escarpment. Great conditions but almost no sea life. We saw one humpback at 50 mi and 6 dolphin but no bait.

I heard from a deckhand on the Endevor that he thought he saw bluefin in 400 ft of water off San Simeon on May2. I had no luck at the Santa Lucia Bank that Saturday. We caught a 4 way hookup on big bonito at 27 mi from the rock on a 217 heading near the SL Bank.
